Poundstretcher is very excited to announce the Official Grand Opening on Saturday 28th January 2023 at Unit 2 Comely Bank Mill Retail Park, King Street, Galashiels TD1 1PY at 10 A.M.
The high street store closed in 2018 to be replaced by the Great Tapestry of Scotland by the local council. However, 5 years later, Poundstretcher is back in Galashiels with a bigger and brighter store!
Property Director Gerry Loughran commented: ‘We are pleased to be returning to the town of Galashiels with loads of big branded products and a great range of offers. The team is working hard to deliver an outstanding shopping experience, great service, and an enjoyable shopping environment for all our new and returning customers. We are expecting massive queues for our opening day specials, including an action-packed morning, so come early to not miss out!’
Galashiels Opening Day Schedule
To mark its return, a Grand Opening will take place on Saturday 28th January 2023 at Comely Bank Mill Retail Park.
- 9 A.M - first arrivals will be welcomed by an Entertainer running games and activities with £250 worth of Poundstretcher shopping vouchers up for grabs.
- 9:30 A.M - the store will be running a Charity Trolley Dash for the benefit of Galashiels Foodbank where they will be given the opportunity to fill their trolley with as many products as possible within 60 seconds.
- Councillor Euan Jardine will officially open the store for trading at 10 A.M by cutting a ribbon.
