Data Protection

Customer details such as name, email address and phone number taken from a complaint either verbally or in writing will be kept on file at Poundstretcher Ltd head offices for up to 2 years from the date of the complaint. These details being available to Poundstretcher staff only.

No details will be passed to a 3rd party without advance permission being sought.

Customer name and date of complaint remains on a customer service log, this is for training and monitoring purposes, this information will not be shared with any 3rd party.

Where details have been provided as part of a legal claim these details will remain on file permanently and will be shared with any 3rd party relevant to the claim.

Charitable Donation

We are sure you can appreciate we get lots of enquiries of this nature and whilst we would love to be able to support your event, we do already support national charities over the year.

Poundstretcher has been supporting these charities for several years now and to date, we have raised thousands of pounds for these worthwhile causes.

Poundstretcher does not operate an online ordering facility; our website is for browsing only.

We do not offer a home delivery service.

My item is faulty, what should I do?

We are very sorry that the product you have purchased has developed a fault. Please return it to the store within 28 days with your proof of purchase and they will happily deal with this for you. For electrical items, there is a 1 year guarantee.

What can I do if I’m unhappy with a product or have changed my mind?

If you are not happy with a product you have bought from Poundstretcher, simply return it in its original condition with proof of purchase within 28 days and we’ll give you a full refund or replacement. To qualify for a refund, products need to be complete with all components and original packaging. This excludes,

  • Swimwear & Underwear
  • Duvets & Bedding
  • Pillows & Mattresses
  • Consumable Items: food/drink, batteries, light bulbs, toiletries, etc.
  • Pierced Earrings
  • Hats & Hair Accessories
  • Toilet Seats
I’ve lost my receipt. Do you accept any other proof of purchase?

If you need to return a faulty product and have lost your receipt and paid for your purchase by Credit or Debit Card, then a copy of your statement identifying the sale will qualify as proof of purchase if the corresponding receipt can be found on the store back-office system.

Are any of your products not refundable?

Yes, we do not accept returns on the following below, unless the product is faulty.

How long do refunds take?

Refunds made on a Debit or Credit Card may take up to 14 days. Please note that Poundstretcher has no control over this as it is handled by standard banking systems. Direct contact with your card provider may also enable you to check the status of your refund.

Can refunds be made on a different card?

Refunds for purchased made on credit or debit card must go back on the card used at the time of purchase with the cardholder present.

Electrical Products

We guarantee our electrical products for 12 months. If you are unfortunate to purchase a faulty product, please return it together with your receipt to the store for a refund or replacement.

Wallpaper and Paint Products

As not all of our stores sell wallpaper or paint products, we request that you return any unwanted products together with your receipt to the store that you purchased them from.

Payment – what type of cards can I use in-store?

We accept all type of cards except for American Express.
