The terms and conditions set out below describe how we conduct our business through the site, they are subject to change and you should check for any such changes each time you visit this website.

This website is owned by Poundstretcher Limited ("Poundstretcher", "we", "our" or "us"). The images contained on the site are provided in good faith and are a fair reflection of the products being offered for sale. We cannot warrant the appearance and/or colours of products shown exactly replicate the appearance and/or colours of the physical products. All sizes and measurements are approximate, but we do try to make sure that they are as accurate as possible.
The products described and offered for sale are intended for domestic use only.
Payment
You can pay for your purchase using Mastercard, Visa, Delta, Maestro, Solo, and Electron cards. We do not accept Diners Club, American Express, Flexicash, or Love2Shop vouchers.

All of the prices displayed on the website are in £ sterling. On occasion, the published price may be varied and we will tell you the varied price before any contract is formed between us, and you can then decide whether you wish to continue with the purchase of the products in question. All prices shown are inclusive of VAT charged at the appropriate rate. Any omission or error in any order form, quotation, price list, order acknowledgement, dispatch note, invoice or other document issued by us may be corrected by us without liability.
Your Statutory Rights
As a consumer, there are certain terms implied into your contract with us which we cannot exclude or limit (for example, the provisions of the Sale of Goods Act 1979).

Faulty Products
If the products that you purchase from us are faulty, or in your opinion not fit for the purpose in which you purchased them, you should advise us of this via the ‘contact us’ section within a reasonable time following delivery or within a reasonable time following discovery of the defect(s) which are not apparent to you on an initial inspection.
Where you have purchased products which come with a manufacturers’ warranty, you should contact us and inform us of any defects in those products within the warranty period specified by the manufacturer (details of which are supplied with the products).
We will examine the products and, if they are faulty, we will provide one of the following solutions:
- We will remedy the defect
- Replace the defective product(s)
- Refund the price of the defective product(s)
Refund / Replacement Policy
Refund / Replacement Policy: If you exercise your statutory rights as outlined above, we will deal with your query as quickly as possible and exchange the product or arrange a refund.
Delay or Failure to Perform
Poundstretcher shall not be held liable if we are prevented or delayed in performing any of our obligations to you due to any cause beyond our reasonable control (e.g. an act of God, war or civil disturbance, an act of terrorism, industrial action).
Limitations of our Liability
Without prejudicing your statutory rights, we will not be liable to you by way of representation (unless fraudulent), common law duty or under any express or implied term of this contract for:
- Any losses which are not foreseeable by both you and us when this contract is formed arising in connection with the supply of products or their use by you.
- Any losses which are not caused by any breach by us.
Our products are for domestic use only and we do not accept liability for the fitness of goods for business purposes, nor do we accept any liability for loss of use of the item nor any loss over and above the cost of the item in the event of a claim. Nothing in this Contract shall limit or exclude our liability to you for things which we cannot, by law, limit or exclude and, further, nothing in this contract means that our liability to you for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or that of our employees, agents or subcontractors is limited.

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations
The UK's Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations provide members of the public the opportunity to deposit their old items for recycling with the aim of the reducing the number of electrical items that are disposed of in landfill sites or burnt. Such equipment can pose potential adverse effects on the environment and human health due to the presence of hazardous substances and therefore correct disposal is essential. The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicates that a product can be recycled as part of the WEEE Regulations and should not be disposed of in your bin.
We offer customers buying new electrical equipment from us free take-back of their old items on a like-for-like basis in our stores. You can simply take your unwanted items to any of our stores within 28 days of purchasing the new product provided you take a receipt as proof of a like-for-like purchase.
If you decide not to bring back your unwanted items to store then the website www.recyclenow.com contains information relating to WEEE, including the location of the local council waste collection sites for waste electrical items.
The Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations
Under the Waste Battery Regulations, we are now offering a take-back scheme for all portable waste batteries. Alternatively, you can find your local waste portable battery recycling facility at www.recyclenow.com
Competitions
This refers to the contractual terms in which competitions hosted on social media platforms and through our e-mail newsletter sign-ups are offered. Please read through these terms and conditions before entering into our competitions. Entry into our competitions will constitute acceptance of the terms and conditions and your agreement to be bound by them.
Terms & Conditions outlined below apply to competitions hosted by both Poundstretcher & Bargain Buys brands.

How to Enter Competitions
Specific competition entry requirements are outlaid within the text of each individual competition.
All prize giveaways are free to enter & do not require any purchase.
Competition Restrictions
Individuals aged 18 or over who reside in the United Kingdom can enter our competitions with the exemption of Poundstretcher employees and their immediate families.
No more than one entry per person can be made on our social media platforms.
Providing incorrect information such as false names and addresses will invalidate entry to the competition.
Poundstretcher reserve the right to disregard any competition entry it believes are in breach of any of these terms and conditions.
Prize Draw Procedure
Competition prizes include in-store vouchers and/or product gift bundles.
Competitions close exactly 7 days following their launch unless otherwise stated. Following this time no further entries will be accepted to the competition. The winners will be announced within 5 working days of the closing date.
The prize offered is final. No cash alternatives will be offered and the prize cannot be sold, exchanged or transferred to another individual.
The prize draw for these competitions will be limited to the entrant’s ability to satisfy the above competition entry requirements. The competition winner will be selected at random using a fair procedure.
Competition entries will not be accepted if:
- Multiple entries are submitted in bulk.
- Entries have been generated automatically by a computer.
- Entries do not satisfy the outlined competition requirements.
Poundstretcher reserve the right to re-select a new winner if:
- The competition winner cannot be contacted within 14 days following the draw announcement.
- The competition winner does not provide satisfactory information to confirm their eligibility to enter the competition.
Feedback Survey winner to be chosen each month, you must have submitted feedback in a particular month to be in with a chance of winning for that month ONLY!
The prize for each winner will be posted to them at a UK based address which must be provided within 14 days of the announcement of the winner.
The winner/winners of this competition will be announced on relevant social media channels within 5 working days of the draw.
Winners may be contacted to take part in further free publicity surrounding the competition. This is not compulsory and will be subject to a separate set of terms and conditions to be agreed with the winner.
Poundstretcher reserve the right to retain copyright in your entry. Poundstretcher may also use your entry royalty-free in any marketing materials including social media.
By entering this competition you also further acknowledge that:
The competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Twitter or any other social media site on which the competition has been promoted
The social media sites have no liability to you, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), for breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, arising under or in connection with this competition for any loss of profits, loss of sales or business, loss of agreements or contracts, loss of anticipated savings, loss of or damage to goodwill, data or information or any other direct, indirect or consequential loss.
Any use of the social media sites in relation to the competition will be subject to the Terms of Service / Use and Privacy Policies shown on those sites.
Anyone found to be creating or using multiple accounts on social media sites for the purpose of entering the Prize Draw will be ineligible to win the competition.
General
Poundstretcher may cancel the competition at any time due to events beyond our control which may render the competition impractical.
When a year's supply of a product is mentioned, this is calculated on an assumed average consumption.
Poundstretcher reserve the right to cancel, terminate, change or suspend the competition at any time. We do not have any liability to you as a result of such change.
We may update these terms and conditions at any time and without any prior warning.
Any vouchers distributed as part of the competition prize are subject to their own individual terms and conditions which will be printed on each voucher.
Privacy

The below information outlines the basis on which your personal data will be used in respect to this competition. By entering this competition you are accepting and consenting to the below practices outlined.

New Store Opening Vouchers
Customers are not guaranteed to receive vouchers given out at new store opening events. They are limited to a first-come-first-served basis and/or games/quizzes hosted by our entertainer (if present).
Room Revamp Competition
If selected as a winner, you must agree to take before and after shots of the selected room and send them to Poundstretcher's marketing department (marketing.dept@poundstretcher.co.uk), with permission that they can be posted onto our digital marketing platforms, these include our website, blog, newsletter and social media).
